My c510 bought from CPW a week ago has died twice on me. After much praise of the phone i am now unhappy. Both phones had same fault whereby phone would not charge saying cannot charge battery please use SonyEricsson battery. Also would not except any sim saying please insert correct sim even though it was sim free. Flashed firmware twice on both phones it did nothing. Now i have resorted to an LG Cookie to which i actually think is very good. Its was all that was in my current price range. So now missing my c510 but accepting my Cookie. Another hacked off SonyEricsson fan |

Sorry to hear that. Strange that the firmware update did not fix it. Enjoy your cookie. |

Shame about that matey. The C510 looked to be getting quite a few positive comments until a few months after it's release. I bought my girlfriend an LG Cookie in February from Carphone Warehouse and she's not had a single problem with it. Seems a well built phone for it's price range. Just needed an led flash to make the camera side a bit better. Other than that it's got pretty much the same set features that all the other LG phones have apart from the Cookie having a far superior music player than even the Renoir that i have. The Cookie even has an equalizer. The Renoir doesn't. I also have a T700 which i have had no problems with at all but it's now used as my backup/night out phone. My Renoir is now my main phone until SE start to sort themselves out.

Oh dear i simply could not live with the LG its too alien to me i exchanged again for another c510 so happy again now. I must be an addict of SE The Carphonewarehouse guy said no you cant exchange again even though i had 2 faulty phones. I was upset then i went to another store around the corner and the woman said yeah its fine no problems. Confused but happy i was lucky though. I have taken out their insurance with it at £2.60 per month covered for everything except loss.
