hi guys, i just bought a laptop MSI MEGABOOK S420 , i have formated my laptop to do fresh installation, but i got problem,

i cannot install my windows vista ultimate, my hardisk capacity is 120G but it can only detect 50G when formating using the fdisk.

i need help pls,,, thanks

Are you absolutely sure that it has a 120Gb hard drive? According to this review and a couple of other sites I found on Google, these particular laptops ship with a 60Gb hard drive.

If it is a 120Gb hard drive, then the most likely explanation is either that it has been split into two or more partitions, or it's faulty and not reporting the size correctly.

Vista would not run very well on this laptop out-of-the-box anyway. It only has 512Mb RAM and the on-board graphics are pretty weak.

i also followed that link and it show 60gb harddisk

try to reformat again and delete all existing partition

thank guys, anyway i went to comp. shop and they made it. it was just my installer that don't work, and really doesnt work on xp and lower version of windows, it's weird but i don't know..
