thought it would be fun to see how c902 behaves against ZN5 and N82.

(seems c902 handle this two Giants pretty good...Enjoy

(both c902 and n82 produce a more accurate, brighter red....zn5 way to dark)

some night pics, maybe a bit difficult to compare because all phones is shot in different iso, but i must say c902 comes out best here in auto

indoor. N82 take it away (of course) (ZN5 have surprisingly much noise)
c902

outdoor...c902 misjudge (surprisingly) its white balance...anyway, its a hard shot, the sun comes in very weird, n82 looks a bit washed out....zn5 wins here.

I'm sure you wouldnt have posted this thread if your baby C902 wasn't doing good against these "giants" is it?
I'm thinking of getting a N82 myself, nice specs, good price and very sweet camera. The pictures with the N82 here are also pretty decent, not the best I've seen but you may picked them carefully plankatan
Doremon +1

Upon seeing ZN5 shots i remember W800 performing the same with it's yellowish tone. you can complain about ZN5 having noisy pictures but at least it shows details more than both phones. besides nothing beats ZN5 details outdoor, C902 tends to apply N-R even in outdoors then sharpens it. and i forgot to mention what are those purple-ish thing on the chrome portion of the car on C902's shot?
I think N82 images have very good contrast.
@blerk: the girl is asian i think.

i fill up with some more in a moment, (even there c902 looks a bit worse, so stay calm
edit...3 more pics

@raztec, no shit
I bet she is Japanese judging by the huge Doremon she has. I also think the best pics are taken by the N82.

well, my vote is.....
1 pic______________________C902/N82
2 pic (flowers)______________N82.....(zn5 looks horrible)
3 pic (the car)______________C902.....(N82 and zn5 is a bit washed out. c902 have thicker blue colours, and looks more vibrant)
4 pic (red object)___________C902 (easily)
5 pic (night)_______________C902 (easily)
6 pic (indoor)______________N82
7 pic (outdoor)_____________Zn5
c902....3 ½ point
N82...2 ½ point
zn5... 1 point

On these resized pics the n82 looks the best , the Zn5 pics in the photo section look nothing like the 1's here, looks like the zn5 here had a problem or was a prototype or soemthing.
I'm pretty sure in fullsized quality it would go,
1.Zn5
2.c902
3.n82 |

Yes it's i think the same the n82 has better white balance
but i have a inconvenience with the pictures taken with the zn5 i saw a review between zn5 and n82 and the quality of zn5 is a little better than the n82.
here's the link is you dont believe me

well, it really shows that best point & shoot camera is; c902 and N82 (i rate c902 slightly higher though, because of easier auto camera), they handle all conditions in a better way.
it also shows that zn5 is great outdoor (which i agree on), but pissy indoor and night, (hardly some great point & shooter)
ps...someone remember this camera-test ??? (he he...just messing a bit )
question...why in Gods name did Motorola make ZN5 so damn UgLy ????

Just because the zn5 produces noisey indoor & low-light pics doesn't mean it's bad, it just has less noise reduction so more noisey but alot more detailed pics, the noisey zn5 pics are nicer than the C902's with it's heavily surpressed noise & the details also get heavily supressed aswell. The zn5 has twice as much detail than the C902.
The C902 doesn't even come anywhere close to a proper 5mp point & shoot, you really think the C902 could produce something like my sony p100 with it's 1/1,8″” ccd sensor & carl zeiss lens???.
I would have given the n82 5/10 & c902 6/10.

one other thing is that this c902 pics is shot with the first firmware ever, (R3BA035 )...which is far from optimal.
i can insure that IF this pics (plain auto of course) had been shot with ex, R3EA037 it had been even more stable whitebalance and colours....no doubt about that
so in that case, c902 had probably handle some of this outdoor pics better then N82.

The C902 and N82 are both good, but I honestly prefer the N82. It has xenon, and I personally LIKE the pictures taken with the N82 more than the ones taken by the C902.
Personal preference is what drives me toward the N82. |
