O2 And 12 Month Contract What To Do ? |

Just got off the phone to O2 upgrades want to stay on a 12 month contract with my £25 500mins free, 200 text/mms free bolt on, and they offer me a T700, C702 or Nokia 6600, Nokia 6300 are they really intent on pushing customers onto 18 month contracts ???
Is there no reward for loyalty ?? they gave me a K850i on my 12 month contract last year, and a Nokia 6300 the year before, which I now see as an insult to offer me such a crap phone 2 years after I already had it.
Comments please people.

They didn't even offer me to go on a 12 month contract, now on an 18 months one and get 600 minutes, 2000 texts, unlimited web and a C905 for £20 which is a far better deal |

I don't see how paying more and being stuck to them for an extra 6 months is better, or am I just being an old moaner and I should get with the program as my daughter keeps telling me ???

Just phone up again but this time go through to retentions by saying you want your PAC code. That should get you a lot better deal. My last one was staying on 12 month tariff at £25 a month but without a phone, but they did put £300 onto my account which pays for the years line rental.

Well retentions have offered me Nokia 5800 (Best phone out of what was offered) or C902 £20 month 600 mins 1000 texts unlimited internet 18 months contract though ??????

Had the same happen to me last month. Everytime my upgrade was due I'd be able to get a good high end phone and al awry stuck to 12 month contracts. This time however was different. I was offered the same choice's as you mentioned in your first post. Went through to retentions and they offered me basically the same again. Had a look online and O2 were doing an online offer but still 18 month contract. Rang them up again and asked them to match the tariff with the phone i wanted and also at the current price I'm paying and also free accessories to go with the phone and I'll go on an 18 month contract.

I went with the 5800, not sure how I will get on with it.
But the £20 for 600 mins 1000 texts and free web was OK and at least they give you 18 month warranty on the phone.
Oh yeah also could have had a C905 but the VGA video recording swung it on 5800.

What is unlimited internet ???
I know there is a fair use policy, but what are the limits imposed ??
Can I stream vids with it, the salesman said I would be able to use BBC iPlayer, but I am sceptical, and there use of bandwidth management, if they have such a thing.

In have read different articles is it 200mb or 3GB.
200mb I aint gotta chance of streaming iPlayer.

As it says in the thread, if you run up something big on the phone itself, they will be more leniant with you, whereas, dont plug it into your Pc.
