Has anyone heard of this. I read it somewhere cant remember the site but it says later this year Orange are rolling out HD voice technology. In other words i think it means High Definition voice quality which obviously improves voice quality across its network. Of course you will have to have a handset which supports this too. If the other person has one its even better but if not improved voice quality can still be heard. Wonder if other networks will do this? I have always thought Orange has best voice quality of all networks this will be even better. They say it will be like speaking on a landline. Anyone know if this is still happening?

Not one of their high profile projects by the sounds of it. For them to say that these HD handsets already exist, they should really publicise which ones they are.

It sounds like their own brand of Wideband Audio.
It basically acommodates the frequencies of the Human Voice more than current telephony. Its seems there have been trials but no roll-out just yet.

Will it not use up more battery power i wonder? Can only be good anyway if other networks do it too cos speaking with my friend on Vodafone its so bloody noisy Vodafone are awful at times for voice quality imo.
