Ok quick update on the w950.
What I thought was a simfree w950 has turned out to be an unlocked w950 with 3 branding.
During my attempt at unbranding it using this method http://blog.artesea.co.uk/200[....]d-your-p990-m600-for-free.html
I managed to unbrand it to generic firmware but now when I turn it on it boots up past the walkman logo then asks for a "phone lock code"
From what I've read this quite a common thing that can happen while unbranding using this method is easy to fix by sending it off to a service centre.
Unfortunately I dont really have the time to do this myself so just thought I would mention this so you all know about it
If either of the 2 users that have offered trades are still interested let me know by PM please
Regards

Restore the back-up of the blob_fs folder to seus & try updating the phone again, i don't mind that it's branded as i can unbranded it myself using a better method, broken it's no good to me. |

Just tried updating it using the original blob_fs folder and it still asks for the phone lock code when the phone starts up.
Like I said in the previous post though from what I read its easy to fix with a quick visit to a service centre. Also read that using Davinci can fix it too.
Anyhoo its still up for grabs if anyone wants it
