Just been asked this. Last i heard Tesco mobile handsets cannot be unlocked but just wondering if this has changed. Can anyone help me on this weather they can or not.

I doubt tesco sim locks are different to any other operator simlocks, so yes they most probley can be unlocked.

Cheers matey. Also. Does anyone know if i can use xs++ to unlock the phone and possibly debrand it ? It's a Sony Ericsson W580 apparently.

Depends what cid it is, cid:52 then your need setool2 lite you can use that to debrand & patch unlock it, if it's cid:53 then you need far manager & jdflasher to debrand & patch unlock it.

If you spend a certain amount with Tesco they give you the unlock code anyway
