I've been using the Sony T series ever since the T1 as I prefer the compact size.

Currently I'm using the T700 with an 8gb memory stick. Its an 8mp camera with anti-shake and touch screen controls with things like pointing on screen where you want the focus to be etc etc

strangely, about half the pics I take are at VGA resolution so I can upload them here, or ebay or email them!

I keep looking at the latest DSLR's but I know from past experience that if its not pocketable, then it'll just sit at home

Thanks lukechris, masseur and Berry!

I think my Exilim is 7.2mp.

Your point, masseur, -

I keep looking at the latest DSLR's but I know from past experience that if its not pocketable, then it'll just sit at home

Is very valid indeed. I am wondering whether to get a C905 as a backup phone and keep that in my pocket.

I did look at a Sony in Japan that looks just like the T700. It was touch screen and virtually all of the back was 'screen'.

I'll see if I can find some You-Tube and other reviews.

I've just bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8 recently. The main reason I bought it was cos it uses AA batteries and not proprietary ones. Features are not too bad, but I think it's got some issues with low-light photography.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

thanks for your replies !

I am checking these out now!

I think this is the one that I looked at in Japan last month.

DSC T-900 but didn't buy because of the poor exchange rate back to pounds...

Ofiaich

the new t900 is pretty darn sexy!

but the t series usually suffers from a small lens and crippled optical zoom.

sure it cant be all that bad. i am waiting for some reviews.

i use the sony dsc-w300

If you're looking at new Sony's, the G1 is worth a look. This is the first Sony compact with wifi built in
