Up for sale or possible trade i have a 1 weekold 16GB iphone 3G (Black)
The phone has been protected from day 1 with an Invisible Shield so it is in asolute mint condition. The phone is locked to the 02 network and will come boxed with bundled accessories.

Yes it can be unlocked by Jailbreaking the iphone. This would have to be done by you at your own risk. This will also void the warranty with Apple

No, jailbreaking is not the same as unlocking.
If the phone came with 2.2.1. firmware (since the bootloader will be > 5.08), there is no way to unlock it. If it originally came with 2.2. firmware, you can unlock it. Google iclarified tutorials for more info.

Many thanks for you input RLP06 ..... all i know is that the iphone is locked to the 02 network so any unlocking or Jailbreaking is done at the risk of the purchaser.
