Nikon D3X digital SLR camera comes with a whopping 24.5 mega pixels Boasting a full frame sensor soundly backed by an Expeed image processing engine and astonishing 51 point focas. Wow. Think its priced around £8,000 or so might be wrong. See http://www.nikon.co.uk

Just noticed Sony have one too at 24.6 mega pixels the Alpha 900. I prefer Nikon though for pic quality.

The Nikon uses a version of the same Sony 24mp sensor

The phone version would be 24.6 mega pixels on a 1/2.8" cmos sensor , small crappy lens & uttlery useless, a 35mm SLR sensor can hold up to 96 megapixels. |

Canon EOS1Ds mk3. Hasselblad aside, probably one of the best money can buy.

Yeah i can just picture that(picture no pun intended)24.5 mega pixels in a tiny lens on a mobile phone. If some manufacturer did this i dont think it would turn out very good. But i guess phones are not far off 14 mega pixels soon with 12 already on the horizon :-S

Friend of mine got to test the D3x for a week and loved it. He didnt wanna give it back. Jessops sell it for £5299.99 but I am sure it is cheaper elsewhere. |

I think one of the things Nikon have over Canon is in "real world" every day use, not talkin huge mega pixels here but quality images even at high iso`s, the Nikon D3 is a case in point, instead of piling on the MP`s nikon went down the "lets make the best of what we have" route instead. A lot of reviews have mentioned that the 1DS MK111 and D3X are best suited to studio work.
I have seen images off a D3 taken at iso25000 and they look like iso400 of any other DSLR, very impressive
