After reading the W508 review on Mobile-review, eldar commented on that the W508 will have limeted success because of the W910i, due to it been cheaper. It got me thinking that many new models in the midrange bracket will all be around the same price bracket with the same features. So far the W910,W595,W890,W508,W760,W580 are all in the same price bracket (£80-£130) so how will these models have success in the midrange bracket? Well none of these models can due to huge competiton between each model which on se part is a big error, the W508 will not sell, why? The w980/760 is available half price for £129, the w508 when released will cost the same, there are more features on the W980 & W760. But then the W595 come along with the same feats as the W508/980/760 for £30 less (£100), so the buyer will choose that. But then the W890 costs the same, but looks slicker and the materials are far better, so W890i all the way. But then the W910 is available for £80 so the buyer will choose that over any of those models because at the end of the day it boils down to price, and since the buyers in the midrange bracket are conscious of price they will see that all of the models are the same, although to the tech world we know they differ slighlty, but if you look at the buyers catalogue for phones the specs for these phones are all the same, since in the specs sheets they dont have shake control etc listed just basic feats which all these phones have. So the W910 looks to be the winner and will pull in all the buyers, while the other models will just be there and not really selling. Do you agree??

Are you just going upon Walkman models? Cos the new c510 being only £100 is bound to be big seller. Why is the w910 not being discontinued? Its poor model people know it and will probably buy the newer models anyway. I know SE do tend to release too many of the same similar models which is silly really.

Yeah, i agree the c510 is likley to do well, because it focuses on camera and there arent (currentley) any other cybershots to give the c510 competiton. The W910 is still going because it is the fastest selling phone in the midrange bracket (out of se phones in midrange), se cant drop it because of that, even though there are other se models out there with similar specs the networks dont seem to be too intrested, the orange network still advertises the W910 alot because it is so cheap it is availble on £15 a month contract. The W910 isnt buggy anymore either so its a good choice for most people.

Anyway yes there will be cybershots that will clash, but not yet, i expect the C903 to clash with the C905 because when the c903 is released by then the C905 will probably be around £300 sim free, and i expect the C903 to be about £250 sim free, most will go for the C903, soon enough the c902 price will drop and will probably clash with the c510 and c903.
