If you need to block SMS reception (if you are spammed by someone) just press this code:
*35*xxxx*16#

xxxx is your Call Barring code (default is 0000). To remove this barring type:
#35*xxxx#

Cheers...

Isn't this the code for barring incoming calls?

I use this whenever I don't want to receive calls, yet want to receive SMS. So this code doesn't work in my network: Globe, Philippines.

Our SP can disable SMS by request.

This is not going to work on council estate network T-Mobile UK as they dont let u bar any sort of calls from ur handset, u have to ring them to do this, Y they dont let u have control this I dont know, mayb they think their customers are unintelligent trailer trash council estate types who arent capable of such complicated matters...;o)

It works on Orange UK thou, SMS was just shown as 'not delivered' on the sending phone. U can usually find ur default code in the Phone/Network Manual.
