No...you no need to change ur camdriver if you like your stock camdriver.
Or you have to test it by yourself and then compared it. It's all bout taste...if you don't like it, you'll never love it...just try by yourself... |

as Code said you should try yourself personally i like this driver much more than default one...but you have to try it yourself it if better for you or not but probably you'll like it so much more than the dafault you'll never want to go back to the old camdriver
@ Code
day shots seem to be very stable but as someone else said in night shots it sometimes does not save photo but that happens maybe 1 out of 15 times also sometimes the driver seems to missunderstand EV in night shots. if you set high values let's say EV+2 on the viewfinder it shows bright picture (in darker places) but when you take picture you get it dark...i think that night shots is where still needs improvement if possible..
also is it possible to improve video mode? especially night shots?

made some more sample day shots...if you like the quality then go for Code's driver...i personally like the quality a lot i think that colour reproduction is pretty much accurate in most of the shots which is really good
maybe it still gives a little bit of grains in day shots but far far less than the default camdriver but that's i think because of the filter used in C510 (or something like this) and i don't know that Code could improve here even more
and just for fun a bit more dramatic look of HDR done with HDR software

no that guy was wrong about Shake control...C510 doesn't have as it's not walkman branded phone but i even don't see the use of it even if it had it just by holding volume key up or down you can change tracks that applies to most of the SE phones
sorry for being off topic but just replied to the post |

Yup i know bout that, that was happened with C702 too...sometimes led misfiring still there (you'll found it if you test some shot with macro...).
Let say...i wanna focus on led progress first...hope we could fix it (yup...i use "We" rather than "I").
After that...i hope i could add some interesting experience into this phone...
@panda
I won't stop...until i change my phone...but big problem here...i dont have any tester phone here...would you gave me your phone bro...?? LOL. |

it's good to know that not only you but someone else is working with you (probably Number1) two heads better than one and your plan sounds fine on working with LED first and then working on the rest of the camdriver anything you do is great so just keep up the good work
if you were in UK i'd probably could send you my c510 for you to test but as you are not then someone else hopefully will lend theirs just in the end all we wait is for perfect camdriver and i know that you'll make it |
