my wap and mms just died and cust. service didnt help a bit. My apn is still wap.voicestream.com but phone keeps telling me it is wrong.

Did they change something?
does it mean something is down?

T-Zones has been intermittent for me the past 2 days. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Note that even when T-Zones has been down, I've been able to use GPRS through my Palm.

Hey guys,

I got the 'wrong access name for APN' too today and I have T-Mobile in San Francisco, California. It was working for me before, and now it seems APN=wap.voicestream.com is acting up for no reason.

I posted a message in the original MMS for T-Mobile thread hoping someone would shed some light here.

Anyone has any info would be greatly appreciated!

I have been able to connect to the web without any problems but MMS is still unreliable. Sent two messages - one got through and one didn't.

For whatever reason, MMS is working again today for me in San Francisco, CA.

I hope the guy in AZ is OK too.

I was able to fix that problem by adding a new "data account" on my t68i. I just added one with the apn of "wap.voicestream.com" and it seems to work. I don't know why the original one wouldn't work, but adding the new account seems to fix it.

That is quite strange indeed! At least I am glad it's working for you now. I think mine was just network problem which seems to happen once in a while. Sometime I get the GPRS signal and other time I don't.
