Internal memory/java app permissions. |

I've only got 11 mb free out of the 20 mb(?) total on my w580i. This is internal memory-nothing to do with the M2 card. I've noticed Opera mini runs slowly on occasion and I think the low internal memory is the problem. I have deleted everything my phone/AT&T will let me-all themes, pics etc are on the M2. contacts are saved to M2 too but seem to be on the phone as well, with no option to remove. How better can I free up more internal memory?
Also, I really need to enable 'ask once' for ALL my java apps. |

Debrand your phone and then you have option Never ask on all Java applications.

Thanks for the reply. I've looked into Halmer cert and woton, read good reviews and 'it bricked my phone reviews'. These were posts from 2007 tho. Debranding seems to be a good method, but I'm sacred to try some random guy's method since I love my phone; the instructions are hard to follow. I like the idea of Debranding my phone allowing full functionality as SE intended. But I could live with a multi-certificate to allow total net access. Google maps & Opera have the 'ask once' option, but no other apps. do. Is there another option - created since 2007 to get rid of the 'always ask' option? Or a guaranteed to work step by step guide to Debranding? Those pop up msgs render my fav apps unusable. Thanks.

How did you debrand your phone centur? I assume you too have a w580i. I'm branded by AT&T and I'm a US user btw. I'll debrand if someone can provide step by step instructions - in non-broken english! Btw: was looking @the SE w760 (3g), but users say its slower and I dont understand how 3g is better; reception maybe? I love the mp4 DVD-quality video via the M3 software. Amazing program - makes 3gp look like a sat. feed from the moon! Can anyone help this SE lover/AT&T hater...please? I will debrand with the proper method. Many thanks, Tom |

Thanks for the link. I'd rather not do the 'take out battery/hold C method-is that necessary to DEBRAND only? Cos thats all I need to do - unless unlocking is no prob when using US phone in UK. Desired result: 'never ask' option for all apps and full phone functionality of w580i, as Sony intended it to operate. I read AT&T or Sony will debrand, if I pay. Anyone done this? Aside, I am a victim of the cracked keypad. AT&T says they have to 'troubleshoot' (how?) Why not SE? AT&T's info is very inconsistent. |
