I have a T300 and I just got my firmware upgraded to R1D while I was overseas in Europe for the holidays. However I just learned that there is a new R1F available since 1/14/03. I would like to get this firmware version from an authorized service center locally as there is no way that I would send my phone to get the firmware upgraded. If anyone knows where I could get it done in the Dallas/Fort Worth metrolpex that would be great!

It is pathetic that the US has only one service center and they require to send the phone in and be without a phone for over a week just to get a firmware upgrade.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Yeah, my phone is through T-mobile, but they do not do firmware upgrades. Their local CS people are totally clueless, they don't even know what you're talking about when you tell them that you would like a firmware upgrade.
I know that Ericsson has an R&D facility in Richardson, TX it would be nice if someone would post who works there and has access to Emma II so I can get a firmware upgrade locally without mailing to Minnesota.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

stuck in the same situation. I don't want to send it to minnesota as well - but there are not a lot of options when it comes to firmware upgrades in the US for our ericsson phones

Has there been any resolution to the "we don't have any more service centers" line we're getting fed by SE? I'm now hearing 7-10 days for service. T-Mobile is useless. Should have gotten a Siemens S55...

Dude, don't you ever say that again.

Just kidding... Kinda. It isn't SE's fault T-Mobile sucks with hardware.
