Hi,

I have a C905 phone on an O2 contract.

I debranded my phone and all went well. Unfortunately i have contracted the dreaded faulty earpiece problem and the pressing the C button works with varying degrees of success.

The problem is that i need to rebrand my phone if i am to take it back to on O2 shop and send it off for repair. (I should also mention i have had the phone for about 3/4 months. It is a week 50 model (so bit newer than other c905's i have seen with this problem.)

I have changed the customize_upgrade.xml with the CDA article number 1219-7224 which is for O2, using A2uploader i have copied this to the phone.

I have then used SEUS to reflash the device (altough it does say i have the latest5 software but i continue anyway and reflash.

The problem is i am not sure i have the O2 firmware installed. My software version states....

1205-9079
R1DA032
090204
Sony Ericsson

I still have the new apps Tracker and Walk Mate etc....

But the front screen says it is O2.

But how do i know for definite that i have the O2 firmware and can they tell i have been flashing the phone?

My other question is is can i go straight to Sony for a repair service or do i have to go through O2?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think i have managed to do this.

I had to flash the phone with a generic main firmware and with the FS for an O2.

I then had to install a custom fileset.

Then i altered the customize_upgrade.xml and upgraded via SEUS.

all finished by 1:10am haha

Just got a reply form Sony Ericsson direct so think i will send it back to them anyway and bypass O2 - so all that for nothing!
