Flashing a generic FW, why has it gone back to being branded? |

Hi all, I recently flashed my phone using SEUS, repaired a BROD on my K850i. Before the BROD it was generic 35 (I had debanded it the month before) but after flashing it has now gone back to vodafone. So money was wasted on the credits to deband it.
My question I would like you to answer is why did it go back? I thought once it debanded to generic FW that was it, all traces of vodaphone gone but now it's back?
And I'm in a catch 22 situation because I don't want to debrand it again as BROD might happen and then I'll have to flash it to vodafone. And I will have wasted more credit
Although what is funny is this VF FW seems to be more reliable then the generic one as I have not received any restarts (touch wood) So Maybe I should just put up with the annoying branding and demo games?
Please respond SE Experts,
Thanks

maybe when you debranded your phone you used a main and fs generic, BUT the CDA was a branded one. that's why SEUS upgraded it to a Vodafone phone.

@ tranced, what is the difference between main, fs ad CDA please, I'm rubbish at this hardware jargon! So if I did it again how could I debrand it so that the 'CDA' also gets debranded?
Thanks,

MAIN is the core of the firmware.
FS is where they files of the system are stored
CDA is the regional information that the phone contains

Search the net for A2 CDA Generator and A2 Uploader, then refer to tranced's A2 Flashing Guide |
