Hello guys, I have a problem with my K800i. The camera button is not functioning. It functions still but ones in a blue moon...Could anyone here tell how it can be fixed?
and for an intance, if the phone is in macro mode and I would press the camera button, the signal red light is working but it does not continue to take the shot,it just ends there, having the red light..

This could be 1 of two problems. Does it still push down or is hard? If thats the case you'll need to take it apart because something has slipped.
If it pushes down like normal try pushing down on the case between the 2 and the joystick, does it work now? If the answers yes you have to replace the keypad membrane (can be bought on ebay) |

yea, hardware fault. It will be because of a broken button or a broken flex cable. If you want to disassemble your phone, just google it.

Are you sure that it isn't a focus problem? In auto focus mode, and probably also in macro mode, the camera refuses to take the picture until it has found the right focus. In order to do that, the object to be photographed must contain something that the auto focus system can focus on, e.g. a vertical line or a sharp detail. Also, in poor light, the red auto focus light will be lit to help the camera to find the focus. For some kinds of poor lightning, and for certain kinds of objects, the camera may have difficulties to find the focus, however. Try the "infinite" focus mode and see if it works. If not, then you probably have a hardware problem. |
