I am thinking of debranding my c510 which is Orange branded. I have never done it before and a bit scared i will ruin my phone. Can anyone give me advice or a link to a guide on how to do it. A guide simple to follow guide. Wish i could have someone do it for me and pay them cos i am nervous. I have updated software via SEUS before on my old K800i which was easy. Just wonder if debranding is as easy? Thanks.

Like I've explained in the C510 thread, you basically have 2 options.

1: Doing it yourself for free, via CDA change using a customize_upgrade.xml file, then use SEUS to upgrade to a generic firmware.
2: Paying an online company to change the CDA and flash it with their generic firmware.

It's up to you to decide what you will do. Both methods have a lot of information on the forums, or just ask me and I will try to answer your questions.

I put my extact location under from: , i will make the script for you if you want to debrand the phone yourself then all you got to do is upload it to the phone and then update it with seus.

Tbh if the shop can do it for a tenner then you may as well just do that.

With the exchange rate da vinci will probably end up being a tenner as well, normally 10 euros.

And as for changing the CDA, sounds a bit risky if you don't know what your doing, i darn't try it

I can recommend Wotanserver. http://www.wotanserver.com/en[....]/sonyericsson-c510-debranding/

I have used their services before and had no problems at all. 7EUR is a suitable price I think.
