Hi,
has anybody flashed to the latest Generic Firmware from Vodafone uk r1ba038? Was it worth ti? what did you loose and what did you gain? what settings need to be
re-entered for everything to woork again?

It is worth debranding your phone will have approx 30% more battery life, you will just have to ring voda and ask them to send you the settings! Debrand using A2 CDA Generator and then use SEUS

The new fw retrieves the settings for you:
Menu>Settings>Setup Wizard>Settings Download will retrieve your mms and internet settings for you.

Thanks for the replies. I heard its easier to use Davinci than A2. If I wanted to go back to Voda UK firmware would I have to pay again or does Davinci make a backup copy? Im still hoping Vodafone bring out a new firmware soon but I know it wont happen! |

As far as I am aware, you would have to pay again to re-install the Voda firmware.
I have used both DaVinci and Wotanserver to debrand SE phones. I find Wotanserver slightly easier to use, but both have been good.
