Ok, my upgrade is due on Saturday, and the choice is between:
Samsung Pixon
LG Renoir
Blackberry 8900 Curve
and (possibly)
Sony Ericsson C905
Blackberry 9000 Bold
Now, which of those three (and in addition, which of the five in total) will I get the most money for?
I have no intention of keeping the phone, and as with my previous 2 upgrades, I'm selling the phone to fund my savings (already got my beautiful E71), so I need to know what will get me the most money for my upgrade.
Any suggestions?

Would it not be the Blackberrys you would get most money for? Thats what think anyway or i may be wrong. I presume they are quite expensive Blackberry phones. If not then the C905. |

the blackberry if you want to sell it on or need a smartphone
otherwise, the renoir.

not a good idea seeing as it has a high chance of going back for repair after a short time. |

It going faulty doesn't bother me in the slightest, once I've sold it thats the responsibility of the buyer.
From what ebay seemed to show, both the Blackberry's and the N96 (which I can't have) are the three most expensive phones. Problem I've got is the Blackberry's will be locked, whereas the others won't be, not sure if that'll affect the price too much.
I'm strictly after a sale, I have ZERO interest in keeping it.

Was thinking about the same thing for when I get my upgrade in a week or so's time, there seems to be more demand for C905s than the Renoir or Pixon though. |

There does, but the C905 is like £100 on my upgrade (I can't haggle cause I'm on a staff plan, it's discounted already) but they only sell for like £250 ish, just not worth it.
Might look into how much I'd get for a Renoir or Pixon, last time I checked the Pixon is worth slightly more. I'm only hoping for £220-£250 for whatever I get. My N82 sold for £220 last year so that's the figure I'm going on (the LG Prada sold for £280 the year before that, so this is the average).

I had a play with a Pixon in Orange shop i really loved it such a nice handset indeed. With a phone being locked it will affect price cos i once sold a phone in CEX shop and cos it was locked to Vodafone they lowered the price. I thought the C905 was around 350 quid? Did not like the Renoir much as the Pixon but i guess its obviously down to price. Good luck.

Thing is, the C905 IS around £350, from a shop, but selling it online is a whole different matter. It usually has to be cheaper or else people will just get it from a shop rather than me. Hence why phones sold privately are worth less than brand new shop bought ones.

Ok, fantastic update, as from tomorrow the C905 will be free on my tariff, god I love O2 sometimes
So I guess that adds to it the mix of:
BlackBerry 8900
Samsung Pixon
LG Renoir
and now SE C905

Congratulations
Will be trying to get a C905 for my upgrade tomorrow, should then be selling it if I can get the right price as I'm really fine with my W595! |

Ok, tomorrow is the big day, strongly considering BlackBerry 8900 or Sony Ericsson C905 now.
