I was happily playing a two-player game of Naval Fleet on my t68i with a friend (both on same phone) and just when i had sunk one battleship and he had sunk one little boat, the phone screen went blank the 'Please Wait' message came up, and it switched off. I then left it where it was and watched it. After about 30 seconds it promptly switched itself on again, and started working???? I have s/w R2A and have not done anything to my phone--- anyone got any theories?

It could also have been the cold, a battery can stop working at low temps? It may also have been a fatal error or something

Check the manual for operational temperatures. -5 is very cold for an unprotected electrical device...

Sony Ericssons press agent said that due to the large number of ships being sunk that day after being discovered on enemy radar, the phone had to go to "non emit signal mode" as a "self protect system" when it thought safe it switched back on.
Thanks SE for resolving this with a perfectly rational explanation.
PS, in a made up place in USSR a t68 having been sold by a soldier was found to have dissapeared without so much as a clever closing line.
