Is there a way to test it?

@boner :hmmm. why would you want to read nokia's picture messages when there is full colour mms with sound now? unless you are saying the cutesy text composed bear messages, which the P800 handles just fine.

if you go through the m1 website, the specification that they gave was that p800 is able to read chinese. Any comments? is there a difference in software ? |

An obvious mistake. The Chinese software, according to Asia Cnet's report will only be release in March, if released at all. |

Yup, the phone is tri-band, and US has an extensive GSM network.
The software patch, or more rightly, firmware upgrade, will bring the P800 to a P802, just like bringing the T39m to a T39mc.
And about where it's made, I can't find that anywhere on the phone!! But the battery is made in Japan and finished in Sweden, so my guess is Sweden. It would be weird for them to finish it in Sweden and then send it to France to pack. Anyway, the factory in France was opened late for the mass production. My guess is that phones that are released in the later general public release will be from France. Most of these pre-release sets are from Sweden. |

Hmm cos most of my frens are nokia user ma, and when they send me nokia pictures messaging i used to be able to see it with t68i, cant believe SE left this little "viewer" out on P800
I keep getting this triangle restart icon when smsing using key pad, very irritating. Anyone noes if the latest firmware will resolve this prob?
Novena or kallang, which is a better and more efficient Serivce centre?
Can anyone kindly advise? |

I have the same feeling about not being able to see nokia picture. How could they.
I did not get the triangle restart icon you mention while using key pad. I think you should bring it for an exchange. I change twice when I first bought a t68 and its really worth it.
As for the efficiency of the service center, I think Novena is better. They are quite fast and more pleasant. But I normally do it over at jurong point. Its a bit smaller but the service guys are alway very friendly more personal. |
