Does a Sony 8gb card have more mpeg4 hours than a 8gb Sandisk m2 card?

On the Sony website it says it has 44 hours of Mpeg4 video.
The Sandisk support said it has only 5 hours of High Quality Mpeg 4 video.
A lexar website said it can hold up to 44 hrs. of Video.

there's no real difference between them. EXCEPT for the price. you pay more to have the sony label on it.

The space available also depends on the filesystem, only a small difference of a few Mb but it's there.

The number of hours any memory card can hold depends on the bit-rate of the videos.
