have you updated your phone since? or tried debranding?
what network are you on i know that orange's firmware locks out most of the C905's creditable features

That option is on the older fw version. Since updating, I noticed that the username and password is no longer required - making things somewhat simpler.

Oh right so it should just pop up in network places?
I can't see it for some reason.
Shame really I had no problem with the un/pw thing, it was kinda cute.
Will have a tinker and post if I get it to work, I'm sure you're right though.
Cheers.
(ps debranded from orange with davinci to latest 'night black' uk generic firmware)

I was able to get it work by first turning on network sharing:
Wifi - Scroll to network - Options - Edit Settings - Network Sharing set to on.
After that is on, I opened up a Explorer window in windows and typed in: \\\\192.168.1.2 - which is the IP address that my phone is using. Some people said that typing in \\\\C905 (or whatever you named the phone) worked, but that never worked for me, even though that is what the phone would show up as in my network workgroup.
Hope that helps. |
