Need to use skype but I can't find clear informations about it on G705 wifi enabled phone. I don't have this terminal yet, I'll buy it in the next days, now I'm using a Z610i. Before someone will asks, I hate phones with microsoft OS and I'll never buy this kind of phones again.
I make many international calls during the day because I'm in business with Brazil, but I'm in Italy.
Thanks to all.
F.

Yes, I use skype on my C905 and I believe it uses the WiFi when I am connected to it.

I think C905 is a Symbian, I think the G705 is based on Java... |

No fedleo, both C905 and G705 are based on A200 Java interface. I think Skype should also work on C905, although I haven't tried it myself.

The A200 is not JAVA based interface... It is running on A200 OS (operating system ericsson or whatever it was called, i'm not sure).... the JAVA is just a support platform that is added to the phone in order to upgrade it's application/games running abilities. So the JAVA is only a part of the phone's software (firmware) giving you the option to install and run games/apps based on java.

Bought a G705 last week. Great phone.
Skype mobile in Italy works but just as a chat or a contact browsing. You can't call.
Anyway seems to work in San Paolo and Rio. |
