Not necessarily.
* Cheek touches screen, while sensors are NOT 100 percent in turning off when bringing phone to your face = mute, or end call, or speakerphone buttons pressed. iPhone 3G/3GS/4 ALL have this issue even with 4.01/4.02 updates.
* typing on the screen is atrocious on iPhone's the keypad takes up more than 70 percent of the screen.
* loose keyboard shortcuts which are much more powerful than touch gestures.
Touch with physical keyboard is the BEST solution.

Ideal SE for me would be the X10 with a Xenon flash, 32GB mass mem, Super-AMOLED display and Android2.2 Froyo.
