The only way Spurs could ever beat Man U for a cup is via penalties and they forgot to practice.........losers.

Utd couldnt care less whether the won the Carling Cup or not, bonus if they won it, no worries if not...as they're still in the running for 3 other major trophies (1 of which is pretty much sealed now ) Carling Cup comes last out of those 4 trophies i'm afraid, and Utd never really showed like they were willing to push the game to the limit. Whereas that was Spurs' only route in to Europe next season, only they had a large selection of players cup-tied/out. Utd chose to rest players.

Anyway, Utd spent a long time with Rooney out and proved the strength in depth of their squad. Not playing Rooney isn't similar to say Liverpool without Gerrard. Utd dont depend on Rooney!

Utd could've played without him and it wouldn't have made much difference. Not like he scored was it?! (apart from the pen of course)

Its alright saying now, that you could have played without him. Could of been a totally different game.

Yeah but all i'm saying is Utd dont rely on him. Or any one player for that matter. That's whats made the difference this season.

Ronaldo hasn't been the same player this season as last, and you have to admit that. Last season he was awesome, and i think you did rely on him then.

Oh yeah, i'd be the first to admit Ronaldo isnt having as good of a season as last. In fact, that would be nigh on impossible to equal or better the season he had!

And true, with his 40+ goals last season Utd prob did rely on him, but he was in-form, fit, and played a lot of games. But he did kind of materialise in to our best player last season - no-one would've predicted that before the start of the season.

What i'm trying to get at is Utd have many players who are capable of filling each other boots, Giggsy has easily been Utd's best player this season, but we can win games without him.

Yeah and winning on penalties really shows supreme class and skill. I know Spurs are not as good as Utd, but we shone against them and im proud of their peformance. We took one of the best teams in the world to a 120 minutes of football and they still could not beat us and where are we 14th? Although the result did not go our way (penalties can go anyones way) in my opinion we still left a winning side even if we did lose and no matter what the result was Spurs should be proud of their peformance, yesterday only made me a prouder Spurs fan.

Spurs were the better team over 120 mins, penalties are a lottery. either team could of won it.
