For last 15 years people were using classic phone with keyboard but since first iPod phone all other mobile phone brands started following new technology with touch screen, somehow I am not a big fan of touch screen phone and I don't think I will ever be but what about you? Which one suit you more? |

I just cant leave classic keyboard, used the 5800xm, TouchDiamond, and iPhone3G, i just cant see myself with a phone that doesnt have a proper hardware keypad, i like keeping my screen clean and prefer to have a dpad, the only type of touchscreen phone id like is the G900, HTC TouchDual, or P990 even the P1, in other words it must have classic types of inputs not just TS.

I prefer the keyboard + touchscreen combo also ...
Something with the P5 form factor would be nice ... |

Call me old fashioned but I actually prefer the INNOV8/C905's slider form factor with no touchscreen. Touchscreen devices are obviously meant to be used with both hands most of the time, and I'm not that much of an ambidextrous guy.

That's me right there! My first touchscreen phone was the P910i, the second and current is the P1 and although I also have your classic number pad phone I can't do without the QWERTY keypad type touchscreen phone. My next phone is going to be along the P1 lines. |

I also prefer a hardware keypad, dont think i'd settle for a touch-only device. |

I love touch screens, but I like a physical button phone for the numbers. I want to be able to dial with one hand. That is the reason I loved my P900. I am now on a P1 and K810.

Everyone thinks we have to go 100% touch because Apple did it.
However, I think the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition combines touch screen with a proper keypad and, whether you think that's going to be a good phone or not, it does offer more choice. LG also has a phone coming with full touch + keypad (as against the LG Secret that had very limited touch usage).
Imagine if Apple came out with an iPhone with more buttons, or a slide out keyboard! Everyone would suddenly be doing it.
For one handed operation on the move, normal buttons, a D-pad or keypad is far more useful than a touchscreen - but touchscreen gestures, selecting images/items and so on is also an excellent way of controlling things.
So, why not combine both?
Ironically, Windows Mobile and the original Palm OS combined the two, as did the UIQ devices, but they never really understood how the screen could be used by something other than a stylus. Microsoft and Palm have now realised with 6.5 and WebOS respectively, so I really hope SE and other Symbian Foundation partners will be planning more than touchscreen only products.

Classic keyboard on my Sammy touchscreen, classic or qwerty on the iphone, storm.

I have owned a P800 a P900 and an LG Viewty. Dont really like touch screen phones cant get on with them. Its just gimmicks not really practical or necessary. Prefer hard keys and like to be able to text quickly with one hand
