hi all.

i got a w595 just months ago and its already drivin me up the wall.

1) okie so first of all only mp4 format files can be played in it, not windows media ones. not a big deal. but when i play the videos it strats hanging. as in the movie slows down but the sound keeps on playing so it results in MAJOR MIS-SYNC between the sound and movie.

2) it shuts off AUTOMATICALLY. without any reason. GRR!!!!!

3) is there anywhere on the net where i can download the splatta theme? cuz it got deleted

4) the battery, oh my god. it exhausts so flippin easily, its a miracle..!!!!

5) can VIRUSES be downloaded in2 da phone through BLUETOOTH? like while transeferrin files and stuff?

6) well, thanks in advance.!

I have it and have had none of the 5 problems you listed. My battery is AWFUL though. I suggest taking the phone battery and box back to the shop and demnading a new battery, I did

Well that's too bad, since i have no problems with mine too! These solutions may help you:
1. Restart the phone everyday so that the phone won't shut off randomly
2. Play videos under File Manager (totally in sync and plays vids properly)
3. It can play WMA but not WMV files. Try a video converter
4. Yes you can get viruses only if your computer has them

I agree on the battery life, very impressed. And bottom speaker louder for sure. But still sounds great for a phone. And mine shuts down randomly. Worse after last software update...genius.

hey guys, thnk you all for ur replies..

especially A HUGE THANKS for providing the link to that splatta theme webiste, it saved my life.. hehe.

so well i got my phone's memory card scanned at shop where i'd bought it and it turns out my phone had a lot of viruses.

donno where those came from ...!!

the worse part is the shopkeepers told me ... NOT TO USE THE BLUETOOTH at all.. cos that wud get viruses into my phone. i mean, wtf is a bluetooth phone for if not for ...bluetoothing?.. they told me never 2 use. it...!

anyway, after they removed all the viruses my phone stopped shutting down AS frequently as before but it still does sometimes.

plus the video thing i sorted out =D yipee..!

however, the battery.. i can only listen 2 about 5 hours of music consecutively. once the batterys like below half, it drains out REALLL fast. i mean just keepin the phone switched on takes up a lot of it..

so any more... advices u wanna giv..?

Even though viruses can go into your phone when bluetoothing it cannot harm it, coz those are not A200 viruses lol. Are you on 3G ? if so battery drains super fast, try switching to GSM if you not much of a 3G fanboy lol..

1) think you can play 3gp video also. afaik that's the main format on these phones. i know i converted FLVs to 3gp or mp4 but usually with some soft that asks you if you want it optimized for ipod (& therefore, mobile phone also).

2) yeah i think it's luck of the draw with SE phones. some do, some don't. maybe update or reflash firmware?

3) this int a prob wiv ur phone, u deleted it!

4) ok, take ur word 4 it

5) yes you can recieve mobile virus, they end in ".sis". they not harmful to SE phones (virus for nokia symbian only) but you can be the 'carrier' & it will try sending to other phones. so if it pops up on ur screen just say no!
but, like in 3), this is not a problem wiv W595 is it! so u only got 3 things wrong wit ur phone! (lol im a sarcastic bstard!)

6) : )
