Can anyone recommend a program for retrieving your music from your ipod.

if you don't have an iPod touch, then just enable show hidden files/folders then browse to the ipods ipod_control > music folder and your music should be in folders that start with F.
K700i > K750i > K810i (current phone)

i had the same problem when i had my Video ipod, I used Idump that worked really well for me
