Hi, i'm a long time Sony Ericsson user, having owned a K800, K850 (unfortunately) and i've now got a G900. The G900 is great, and i love UIQ, but the camera in it is pretty bad and i'm just missing the quality of the K800. Because Sony Ericsson currently don't have any 'smartphones' with decent cameras, and i'll have to wait at least a year before i can get myself an Idou, i'm tossing up between a C905 and an N96. There's just been a few niggly things with my K800 and K850 that have really annoyed me, and i just want to check if they've been fixed in the latest Sony Ericsson operating system before i make the switch.

1. Is there a word limit to e-mails? My old K800 and K850 would only let me write up to a certain character limit. Is this still the case?

2. I use ActiveSync to sync my Calendar to my phone, but i have thousands of calendar entries. Back when i used SyncML on my K800 and K850 it would just fill up and not enable me to sync any more calendar items. What is the limit on the C905?

3. Have they fixed multi-tasking? For example on the K800 when you are in the internet and get a text message, if you decide to view it the internet is closed.

Would be great if anyone could help me out. I can't find a spec sheet anywhere that answers these questions!

Thanks in advance.

3. It can multitask just fine, if you receive a text during an internet session, the activity menu will pop up and you can opt to view the message while keeping the internet session running in background mode a la smartphones.

C905 is based on the same platform as K850, so there aren't any improvements between them.

That's what i was worried about. A2 is ok, but i might as well jump to S60 rather than back to A2 unless they've made these modifications. UIQ has been great, but like i say, the camera just isn't up to par. Anyone out there use their C905 constantly for e-mail and ActiveSync?

A2 isn't laggy. I have mine with a 4 GB card in it and it browsing through my media, 516 songs in one folder, card is full, and you barely feels there is any lag at all. Try doing that on any s60 phone. That is one advantage of having a Java based phone.

It is a cool phone, 8.1 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS. What more do you need?
