Hi, can anybody help please. I have managed to setup my yahoo mail and have succesfully retireved my emails once. I turned my phone off last night to charge the unit and since then cannot get into any of my yahoo email accounts. I can add my email address in but each time I sync it thinks I have put in the incorrect password which I havent. I've only had the phone a day and got this as Internet based email has been switched off at work and I need access. I'm starting to get frustrated with it now and I'm thinking of sending it back.

Thank you in advance

Hi, by going into setup email in messaging. I followed the onscreen instructions and it has worked today for a couple of minutes. I have just tried again and once again its failed at authentication. I have logged into my yahoo account from my PC no problem.

Maybe the option for X1 to remember your Yahoo password was not checked? Go to Yahoo Inbox then Menu->Tools->Options->Yahoo (in the list)->Edit Account Setup. In the fourth screen (pressing Next) is where you enter the password and a checkbox to remember it.

I had the same problem the first week i bought the x1, now works ok but maybe for you is an option to open the web page of yahoo using opera browser and you'll have full acces to your e mail account, and is better because you can upload and download bigger files than the the ones allowed by the e mail accounts built in (i hate that message 'file is too big'). i hope this will be helpful.

Don't know whats different from yesterday but this morning my email side of things started working. Really frustrated with this device. Have got another week to decide to keep it or not. I was either this or the iphone. Not sure I made the right choice with this phone.

Thank you to everyone that replied.

Thank you

Have cut my losses with this phone now. After it worked this morning messanger freezes now and again and the only way to get it working is to turn it off and back on again. That was the last straw for me so I've cancelled my contract with the mobile phone provider and its going back Monday.
