I got my W995 today. First thing I noticed was that the call volume was very low (even on max volume). I updated to R1GA026 using SEUS but that doesn't seem to change anything. Anyone else experience this?

It's not that low that I have problems hearing people at the end of the line, I'd say the maximum volume is just perfect. But I usually have this problem at the end of calls where the sharp call end tone simply pierce my eardrums at maximum volume. I do have to keep it at that level in noisy environments though so I just have to pop my handsfree out of my ears before the tone. But if I'm using my Noise Cancelling headsets I could just press the monitor button to block the sharp sound. I see no reason SE why should make it so loud

Also, i think there is an acoustic modding thread for the W995/ A2 DB3210, so, you could upload louder acoustics to the phone... will try and search for the link.

battery lasts wayy longer when turning 3g off
i fully charged my phone at night, woke up in the morning, about 40 minutes of music ( headphones ) and about an hour of browsing, still 75% remaining instead of 55% after school

and call volume is perfect

Okay this is embarrassing, it seems the volume was low because I hadn't removed the plastic covering that was over the screen
Now at full volume its just about right but I'd feel more comfortable if I didn't have to set call volume to max for normal surroundings. It doesn't leave any headroom for noisy environment.

Yes, I find that it jerks somewhat with image stabiliser turned on so I have it deactivated most of the time. The framerate is usually around 25fps which is still acceptable and shouldn't appear less smooth than 30fps

this sounds very similar to the recording done with the K850i. I recall recording even holding still during day or night inside a club and the video frame rates would be variable from 24-30/31fps with wvga rates.

Does anyone have recommendations for a stereo bluetooth headset compatible with W995. I need one for listening to music only (no calling required) and most importantly should be small enough to wear comfortably inside a helmet. I'm looking at something like Nokia BH-505 or Motorola S9 (which my friend claims did not pair with his P1).

i have Ds220 which is quite good .. comparing all other... it has 3.5mm jack so can use other headsets.
DS-980 also good there is a display supports caller id, track names.etc. but constlier than ds220 and no 3.5mm jack..
Aino bluetooth head is also better but u have to find it. it has bulit in radio antenna. means radio can be listened over bluetooth unlike ds980 or ds220/200

^ Hmm these still have wires going from the earphones to the bluetooth thingy. I was thinking more along the lines of a behind-the-head type of headphones.

^ Thanks for the tip, these might be better than a hard plastic behind the head band. I'll check out if they're available and if I can afford them

@ Kreacher, you are welcome

@ spiid, those are good news, you can keep testing the resistance of the phone and tell us the results
