C905 Handset Speaker Not Working! Typical! |

Hi guys,
Another problem from the ever-reliable C905!
A couple of niggly issues have developed since I got the phone in November, but I've decided against the O2-repairs process and returning the phone because I wasn't happy with the way they send out refurbished phones that usually are also problematic (had lots of problems like this with the K850i)
So I'm determined to fix any issues that arise by myself (or at least without the O2/SE Repair Centre)...
The phone has been making calls fine and for some unknown reason (I haven't dropped the phone etc.), today when I try to make a call or listen to my Voicemail - I can't hear anything through the handset... I can only hear when I hold down the 'C' button or when I put the call on loudspeaker?!
Can anyone suggest what I can do to fix this!?
Thanks guys! |

This is a known issue
Why dont you take it a service centre they will replace the ear piece under warranty...???
Cheers

Thanks for the tip! I might do that... I'd trust seeing someone in person more than sending it to a warehouse in the post!
How do I find out where local service centres are? Should I contact SE about this?

call sony ericsson and ask for your phone to be repaired they will give you a number and the address (it is freepost). Although when i sent mine in i didnt send it just using the freepost, because there is no proof! so i sent it special delivery which insures it for £500
i think it is unlikely they'd be pleased to see you but their address is:
FREEPOST NATW1026
Kuehne-Nagel Logistics
Unit 2A
Appletree Road
Chipping Warden
Banbury OX17 1LL
do NOT just send it in without contacting SE first.
hope this helps!

Thanks folks!
I'm awaiting a response from O2 to see if they can do a door-to-door exchange, if not I will be taking it to a service centre in Northumberland (if I can get there!)
The phone by the way is a Week 43 in Black. |

I've tried to do firmware updates on the phone regularly since I got it - well once a month, but every time I've tried doing it on the Update Service on the phone it says the current firmware is the most recent? |
