slick1 Joined: Feb 14, 2009 Posts: 24 PM	Posted: 2009-02-14 01:26 Hello all, i've had a SE W760i for around 6 months and it proved to be a good phone with a few flaws. At times, i found the software to lag if selecting applications too fast etc etc. Minor issues. I sent the phone back for repairs after my son dropped the phone and when i got it back, i noticed that some of the features dont work the same. So far, the 2 which i have noticed are: 1. when i put an appointment in my calendar (which i heavily use for work), the dates which had an appointment in them used to be shown in bold so i'd know which days had appointments. 2. I used to be able to choose my shortcut keys for the left, right, and down arrows. i had the right arrow as messaging, left arrow was calander, down arrow was contacts. I was only ever allowed to modify the left arrow, but since the new software has been loaded, i cant modify any of them. 3. I'd also like to be able to debadge the phone. I'm sick of pressing the menu button and it is highlighting the Telstra emblem. Because its a work sim card, the GPS isn't able to be activated and neither is the internet but i'm not too fussed about that but if i could have it working, it'll be nice. When i go into the settings on the phone, the current software version is 1208-9183 R3DA028 080908 Sony Ericsson Is there any software which will allow me to change any of this. The software version i have is straight off the Sony ericsson website. When you guys talk about flashing a phone, is that with the software which is released by the phone manufacturers or software written by others? Thanks Slick1

Seems your phone has a branded firmware and it's not that old, but you can flash your phone with a recent version. The first you can do is learn how to flash your phone. Just a question about flashing the phone. is it Sony ericsson software which the phone gets flashed with? will those functions i'm after be usable again? Thanks SLick1
