I'm having fun at this site. The posts range from really informative messages to garbage threads

But I find the site focusing too much on the T68 - admittedly the most popularly used phone owned by Esato users. Obviously, my avatar would show what phone I use. I sometimes find it a bit exasperating that some users think that the topics they are discussing (most are) is limited to T68 when in fact they're not.

I have heard grumblings from T65 users, not much from the T39, but I hope that the fellow members of the community should really take some effort to do the following before posting a message:

  • use the search option to check if the message had been discussed or being discussed on any of the forums
  • make sure that the post is relevant to the forum you want to post in
  • refrain from posting messages that may be offensive, irrelevant, idiotic or posting just for the sake of coveting the much prized avatar: the blinking T68 (there's a suggestion about an alternative ranking system out there anyway.)

I hope the suggestions would help make this community a better site (not that it is bad now) but just something better.

GOWIN : I couldnt have said it better myself.

And I do really mean that. And yes, a lot of the posts are just as relevant to T-39 and T-65 users.
Its only things like color-screen and "joystick" that are actually T-68-specific. All the other stuff is basically the same in e.g. T-39, and for that matter T-65 also.

I encourage people too, to use the "search" function more,..just as You say, a lot of the topics have been discussed before, or ARE being discussed.

And yes, we dont want people to get rude towards each other.
