LED light as Status/Notification light |

I have noticed my last few recent Sony Ericsson phones have had a small red LED which only appears to be used as a low battery indicator.
One thing i really appreciated on my Nokia e51 was the LED light that blinked when I had a missed call or new message. This saved me having to unlock my phone, turn my display on etc..
Why would Sony Ericsson not faciliate this with their existing LED lights?

This is really good idea, the SE programmers must think about this.
Is there any programmer can do some changes to make use of that LED?

Actually, this was the norm with Ericsson before they formed the joint venture with Sony. SE still does employ this feature on their smartphones from the P800 right through to the X1. My P910i and P1 do this. I appreciate my P1 for this, one look and I know that the flashing LED means a message, missed call, reminder or low battery. I agree that it is very convenient and saves you a lot. It would be nice if they do it with all their phones. |

W910 and G500 ( and other ) have small red led on the back which turns on while recording video.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |
