Overall a poor product form SE, NO GPS, NO WLAN,.This is what K850 should have been in First place..Too much to compromise considering release at q2 2009, And this phone willl not do well in any markets as there are Lower Priced C902 & k850i and C905 which would get cheaper by then .So i dont see a market for this .yet another poor move from SE in difficult situation.

I am happy with this phone. I don't need wifi as I have HSDPA internet speed wherever I go. I don't need GPS, as I believe that drains the battery a lot, and nothing is better than a purpose built GPS Sat Nav. And about 3G video calling. I only ever used it once on my K850, never used it again. So overall this phone is going to be amazing

Is this phone as thick as the K850i? Does anyone know? or is the thickness the same as the C902?

It's 2mm thicker than the C902 and 4mm thinner than the K850.

It gives your photos GPS coordinates so that you can later view where the shot was taken... say via Google Maps.
And I'm thinking more like May.

It does not utilize a GPS, but instead makes use of the cell ID info.

Oh great thanks guy's. I am so excited about this phone.anyone else excited like me? Lets hope its april and not May. Even tho its a month after april. I can't wait.this is nice timing this information. Its going to be great this phone sony ericsson makes the best phone's ever. I think i will miss my k850i when i get this new phone. But i will keep my trusty somewhat problematic k850 which i love too.

I cant see the excitment over this phone. It is hardly an improvement over the K850i, wow, its just a rubbish little thinner!

Still only 2.2" screen, no wifi or GPS, and will it have VGA 30 FPS recording?

Comeon , get serious and competitive! Both the LG secret and Renoir are already ahead of this phone and they look better with larger screens! And the LG KM900 arena is out this month and it beats everysingle model that have right now, and on top of that, Samsung have even better models!

If keep this up, they wont even be a top 5 manufacturer next year, and a few years from now they will be out of business.

I am fed up of this same crap from again and again.

The GPS only drains battery when it's in use and I doubt it really drains the battery that bad.

I'm really excited about this phone too. But I have to realise that after 1,5 years this phone has compromises too -for example the annoying lack of the front camera (like the case of c905, c903, t700). I can't understand whats's the point when the decide which of the phones get front camera... But I would buy this phone just if it will takes better photos than my k850, with vivid colours. I would buy this phone for summer, so if by the time I realise that it's camera isn't that impressive, I could wait for the models which will have been announced untill summer, but that would be Sonyericsson's last chance for me. It would be sad, because I always had just Ericsson than Sonyericsson phones.

LG Secret is better then this handset and cheaper. LG Renoir is better then C905 and maybe cheaper. I wasnt comparing the C901 to the Renoir, it was a general observation that even LG, as well as Samsung and Nokia now have better products then SE do.

SE phones are actually more expensive and poorer specified then the competition.

I already have every K series SE phone plus a T700, Im not going to waste my next upgrade on an identical but different looking handset.

I need something innovating and new, SE dont do innovation anymore. Wake me up when they come out with such a device.

is simply made for PHONE device, not multimedia device so they don't put up a lot stuff.

It's just a PHONE, What you expected from it.

@HxH
Maybe in the year 2000 which you probably just arrived from (greetings, welcome to the future), cellphones were just for calling. Here's some info for you, almost a decade from your time, all phones have colour screens and are multimedia computers that take photos, video and play audio etc. Only the extent of these capabilities vary, and SE is behind which is what we're b!@#h!*g about.

@Mr. Miyagi
3G video calls drain battery too but it's standard in every phone and it doesn't drain your K850's battery does it? Besides, GPS is only great for navigation if you're driving so get a car charger hence, no battery drain at all. Battery drain is a poor and old excuse which can be solved very easily
