I am looking for a phone that has good picture quality and is also reliable, i have heard that the k850i is very unreliable and that you keep having to send them off for repair, have also heard lots of other bad things about them, also have heard bad things about the picture quality but thought i would ask on here for some opinions.

I am thinking of getting either a K850i, N82, LG Renoir or something else.

I am going to buy one sim free.

Thanks.

I suggest to get that N82 N82 has the best value of all those three choices IMO Renoir is better if you don't mind the price.

-Symbian OS (though, the UI is a "bit" ugly and boring but there are many apps for this OS)

-5MP camera with great quality plus very good xenon flash (better flash than that of Renoir but "slightly" weaker than that of K850i)

I like K850 but i would recommend the N82 too.

N82 looks very ugly but a least it s stable and has good build quality, also the camera is the better of the 3 and Nokia is constantly updating the firmware.

I cant believe i m recomending a Nokia phone

I would go for;

1. N82
2. K850i
3. LG Renoir

Why? Because the N82 has stable firmware, good camera (at least the same level of the K850), and a decent music player!

I like the N82, only thing is it's still very expensive considering it has been out for quite some time, cheapest i have seen sim free is £260 and that's a bit overpriced in my opinion, £175-£200 would be more reasonable.

True, in that case I would take the K850 which is cheap and almost the same, except it can be very slow when multitasking! The K850 is 150 Euros here, so around 130 pounds?

The things that really put me off buying the K850i are the reliability and i'm not sure whether it takes good quality pics.

The C905 is too expensive, around £350 sim free, i am looking to spend between £150 and £250 really, i don't do contracts, i want to use it on pay as you go.

Do you want the best cameraphone? Get the Renoir.
Is it reliable? Yes for me.
Best phone that i have ever used.

Yes i do want the best cameraphone, doesn't the LG Renoir have a poor weak flash though? i want a camera that can take reasonable night shots as well as day shots too.

The xenon flash of Renoir is very poor. Some LEDs are even better. Only SEs and Nokias are the right choices when it comes to xenon flash.

Renoir’s flash is good up to 2 mt. and surely better than all led flash, but it’s not close to C905’s flash of course.
For daylight pics is the best you can get together with i8510.
You can see some flash pics in this thread: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=178069
