Hi to all. I bought myself a brand new g900 as a replacement for my P1 so I wanted to ask other G900 users for experience with this phone. How much are you satisfied with this phone?

I would also like to hear peoples experience on using the G900. Just waiting for a sum of money to come my way soon and I'll be buying one.

I can say it was the best SE phone Ive ever had.
Not a single problem.
I now have the X1, its still horribly unstable compared to the G900.

It's a good phone, camera's not as good as k800i, however it is a good all rounder with good media player and excellent uiq software support. It's a shame that you have to be a real techie to get the most out of this phone to tweak to it's full potential.

The lack of support of SE in UK for this phone is disspointing as it is impossible to upgrade to the latest firmware unless you want to play around with hex editors or trawl through forum after forum to find things out about it.

I can understand why this phone has been been dropped in the UK as it doesn't appeal to many people - walkman or camera phone for the masses - now the X1 for business market.

I love this phone though and i bought it with the technical aspect in mind and its fun to learn about how to make it better and the community reminds me of the good old amiga OS days where people tried to get the best out of what the OS could do.

Thanks for the replies guys. I find it very reliable too.. It's excellent, especially when you apply some mods on it.

It's a great phone, the only major problem I have is the build quality and some laggs at first but now after the updates it works really smooth.
Sadly I have to seperate myself from it soon since I'm looking for something more multimedia oriented.

i've used the p990 and the p1i before. G900 is far one of the best if not the best uiq3 phone released by SE.I like the simple and conventional design. Makes us appreciate how a phone should really look like, but with smartphone capabilities.UI is fast,no hangs even with opera mobile. Then only fault of this model is the camera but i don't use it much anyway so it doesn't matter.Besides,it'll probably be modded soon anyways.

Well there are some camera mods available. And you know, the camera is not that bad after all. It can take great photos if you use it properly and adjust the right settings of it.

The problem with the camera is the phone doesnt detect the correct light setting to select. If you do this manually by selecting either incandescant, flourescent or cloudy from WHITE BALANCE in my experience the pictures are very good. The problem is if you leave it on auto.
