Hi, I just bought a t68i off a person i know, he said that he thinks its locked to o2 (UK) and doesnt know about the other networks. I then went into the service menu (*< etc) and noticed all the locks were open. As i dont have a o2 sim card yet i placed my t-mobile sim in there and after many minutes trying to set the settings i managed to make a 2 calls. I therefore thought it was unlocked, but after ten minutes when i took my phone out of my pocket the signal was empty and also stated No access at the top of the screen, what does this mean? How do i change the settings to accept a t-mobile sim card? Is there a possibility that because GPRS is on (green L shape) because o2 accept Gprs, and now that a t-mobile sim is in (i dont have gprs activated on my sim) i cant make any calls or get a provider in the main screen (logo operator)?
Thanks for any help or advice, and thanks for spending your time to read this. |

Most probably not, at least here in the netherlands your IMEI number is on the bill, If you also have a bill with a number on it this will show another number then is shown inside the phone (take battery off and see sticker) just to be sure........if there isnt a number printed on your receipt for the phone, I would try it and wish you good luck !!!!!!!!

Hi, it doesnt say the IMEI number on the bill, will SE give me a new one or offer to fix it? I would rather take a new one. Also its unlocked, will this effect their descions to offer a new one? |

No it won't. Sony Ericsson has a policy about returned goods.
If it has to be sent back 3 times, they will replace it with a new model phone.
