Hi,

I am just wondering if there is such a firmware update for bluetooth headset made by various vendors e.g. SE, Nokia, etc.? I understand that the life-span for each model is shorter than the phone but wondering if anyone know or have tried to update them.

Thanks.

I would love to update firmware on my BT devices but I don't know if you can. You see, BT is one of the things affected by a firmware update so you can't connect and update at the same time, you would have to update using a cable but to my knowledge no cable exists for BT accessories. The exception may be BT carkits which have connectivity ports, but I've never heard of anyone updating firmware via this port. My Nokia CK-15W BT carkit can display it's firmware version on the carkit TFT screen - surely there must be a way to update this.

Good thought on this, Carkitter. I agree - especially why bother to have a (bluetooth device) version shown in the first place when you cannot do anyting (update) about it.

I'd like to see if others have any experience on this. I will check with my vendor to see if they have any clue or knowledge on this. I doubt it very much.

The Jabra BT620s bluetooth headset has a mini-USB connector and can be firmware upgraded through it from a PC.
