Hey, so I finally got a debanded T650i (before they are gone from the market forever) as a spare phone.

It seems everything is in order - except a weird problem with the camera.

If I take a picture in the Normal or Burst mode, after the shutter noise it displays 'Saving' then rather show me the taken pic or go back to the cam screen it quit to the Main Menu and I can not find the picture any where on file

Strangely, the camera works perfectly in the Panorama, and Frame mode. It also records videos perfectly.

I tried a master rest and even a firmware update but no good.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I used to have the same problem with my APAC Eclipse Black T650. Also had the problem on some other phones.
With living in the UK. I flashed my T650 with the Europe 2 R8BC004 firmware and all seemed fine.

Actually just tried what you've mentioned using the Burst setting and the phone took the pictures and saved them then showed me the preview.

I had a similar problem with my V640i recently. Photos would not show up in phone memory or 256 MB M2 that came with the phone or 8GB Sandisk M2 card I bought recently. The problem showed up after flashing with the latest firmware and reflashing did not cure it. I sent it to the Authorised Service Centre who also flashed it, found the problem still there and promptly replaced the phone, making this the third V640i I've had in 10 months.

And people reckon I should forego factory warranty and buy cheap...

Good luck with your phone carkitter.

The more I think about my own problem though, I think it's gotta be a software issue. There is no reason the phone should work in certain modes and not others if it'd been hardware related.

Update: I reflashed the phone (multiple times) to both APAC and EUROPE firmware/FS/CDA but nothing cured the cam bug.

Strange! Oh well I don't use the cam that often...

But any other suggestions will be very welcome.

Have you tried formatting your memory card ?

Go to file manager, more, memory status, memory stick, more, Format M.S.

See if that works. Just remember to back up your data first.
