At the moment I've got a K850 but guess what its broken! No surprise there shocking build quality, currently using my old faithful W810i but wondering what phone to get next.
I don't need any music featuers just a good phone with a good camera.
Propriety is build quality and photo quality,
I'd ideally like a phone built as well as my w810i with a larger screen and better camera. I'm due to upgrade in a month or so so i could get a free phone on contract however I i'm gonna go with a free PS3 deal meaning I wont be able to get a top of the range phone. and will possibly end up having to buy the phone sim free so price for once comes into it.
Hence I've been looking at the K550i and K770i anyone think I should be looking at anything else? K800 is a bit on the large side. K550i hasn't got the best camera but build quality I hear is top notch (is that true?) and the K770 has a better camera than my W810i and by all accounts out does its 3.2mp label with the use of a great sensor.
Basically what would u all go for and is there anything else I should be looking at?
Also does anyone wanna buy a K850i with broken screen.. |

Do consider the T700 as well. I was in the same place as you withy my K850 and bought a T700 to replace it. The T700 feels and runs exactly the same the as the k850, minus the accelerometer and camera quality. They are all very similar models though with little to differentiate then other then looks.
Lets just say that for my next 18 months on contract, I will no longer have an phone.
Thats karma for the crap k850 plus refusal to service it for free under warranty due to a minor crack on the back of the phone. |

Based on my experience with the k550i :
The k550i's build quality is quite solid, but the battery cover is another story, the k550 I have has a very creaky/loose battery cover that it sometimes gets annoying when texting, but solved this problem by inserting a piece of paper inside
But i really like the overall design (specially the back/cam design), when it was released during its time - it was a phone that was slim, big enough screen, best buy against its other competitors in its price range.
Keypads are small but ok & if you have big fingers, texting will need a getting used to.
Cam is Good~adequate in its class (not that good in low light, my W700i night shots are way better, but during daylight k550i is better)
overall i really like this phone, that's why I kept this phone for my other line. |

AFAIK the K550 was discontinued a while ago unless some place's still have old stock. It looked a nice facelift to the K750/W800/W810 as it was basically the same phone but in a different casing.
K770 is a good phone and can be bought for as little as £68 new these days.I quite like the Henna Bronze model myself.
If you can get hold of the T650 i'd consider getting one of those as well.Basically a K770 minus the cam lens cover but you get Alu casing and loads of in box accessories.
Also the LG Cookie. |

Think i might go for the bronze K770 - whats the build quality like? K850 has almost put me of SE phones i'm hoping it was a hick up as prior my K850 SE phones seemed to be built to last. Views?
Is it solid enough to last a few years if needed?
Also someone mentioned a T700, I've never heard of that handset is it a new one or just a typo?
Oh and thanks for advice guys!

Go for the K770i is a really nice phone with very good build quality if you take good care of it it will last years. And yes T700 is new but not that new just check it on gsmarena
For those who believe no explanation is necessary, For those who don't none will suffice |

I think the only difference to K800 and K770 is that K800 has xenon flash and K770 weighs lighter than K800 |

You should consider C702 is a great phone, water and dust resistant, good 3.2mpx camera with AF and flash leds, GPS, good screen (the same as K850 i think) and is very cheap (at least here in my country)

With the C905 having so many problems it seems a year on SE still arn't capable of making a reliable phone. Not doing much for they're falling market share.
You could try the C702 as well, although will be around £150 payg. I really like the look of the T700 though. |
