Looking for the S500i original themes |

A friend of mine has a S500 and I just love the themes that come with the phone. Is there anyway to copy them to another Sony phone? I have a W760. Or is there a place I could download them. |

You can use the theme in your W760 but you can't have the flash menu cause S500i are A100 and W760 are A200. They use different flash menus...
Just send the theme from S500i to your W760 via bluetooth or google for sethpo... |

Thanks for the replies. I've learned a bit more since my original question. I've managed to get a few of the themes from the S500i.
However they don't work quite the same way. For example, I have been unable to get a user made theme that modifies the icon as part of the theme. So I seem to be stuck with the ugly default icons. I do have one theme that came with the phone that does change the icons, so I know it's possible.
I've downloaded the theme creator from SE and found in their documentation that you cannot change icons. Which explains why I haven't found a theme that does change icons yet.
So I'm looking at sites that show you how to hack the phone file system in order to customize icons. But the information appears old and out of date and I'm not sure they would work on my model.
Damn. Maybe I made the wrong choice of phone |

Download XS++, connect your phone and browse to : tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
Put the SWF files there and send the .THM files to your phone the normal way, now you can use the theme with modified icons(=menu).
There are a lot of tutorials on Se-nse.net  . |

Thanks for the info!.
I've spent all day learning about this stuff. phew! But I found that you can't use XS++ with my type of phone. However you can use A2 uploader. Anyhow, I've managed to get flash menus working properly but I had to un-brand my phone in order to do so.
And lo and behold, I actually found the everchanging theme I wanted and got it to work with the flash menu. So I am one happy girl. |

Yeah, sorry didnt know the tool for your phone was A2uploader instead of XS haha.
