Well what can I say? Their repair service is absolutely awful, to be honest all they care about is that you make the purchase and they get your money, after that you are by yourself. I wanted my iPhone repaired and seeing as I bought it there I brought it back to ask for a repair and then 4 weeks later I just get a new iPhone! I'm not annoyed that I got a brand new one, I'm annoyed at the fact that it took 4 weeks to do so, and even more so it came 2 weeks ago but they didn't contact me.
In my opinion they need to sort out their staff end of.

I'm not from the UK so can't comment on them, but that sounds awful. But I kind of think its the same anywhere and no matter what country you're in... The service is always crap.

My k850 wast sent for repair and I was told that if it wasn't fixed within 7 days I would get a replacement. I got a refurb k850 when I came to pick up my phone on the 7th day. The same happened to a mate too
My cousins Nokia took the full 4 weeks (and he was given a replacement after all that waiting)
I think it depends on the manufacturer's policy as most phones are sent back to them.
Iphone is an Apple device and you know uptight they get with any of their products so I wouldn't be surprised if they sent the phone back to the USA for repair
oh BTW Carphone Warehouse are a bunch of cowboys/scum of the earth

if you took it to apple it would have taken 2/3 days....
