i mean, like old ericsson car handsfrees. you heard the calls through the car speakers, not through an ericsson speaker or something, and the microphone was above your head or on top of the door.
i wish it also had the nokia phone feature in audi that shows caller number or name in an lcd between the rpm and kmh.

i would really appreciate any exlpanation on this since my father is buying a new car along with a p800 and needs to know whether it is better to have the nokia car phone or the se bluetooth car handsfree. thanks.

AFAIK you can choose if you want to use an external speaker or if you want to use the existing car stereo speakers. If I'm not mistaken I even think that there is an external speaker included in the kit, I could be wrong though. The microphone can be placed above you.
You should really read the Whitepaper for the bluetooth carkit all is explained very nicely there. You should be able to download it from SE's website. If you can't find it PM me and I will send you the PDF file. |
