Hi,
Since my K800 was pretty wrecked, i purchased cheaply a "new" one - it's used, but everything's working fine. The firmware from my old K800 is pretty modified and i don't have neither the time, nor the nerve to do the same with the "new" one, but nevertheless i want to have all the stuff from the old one. I've came with the idea to somehow extract the whole modified firmware together with all files and setting etc and just plant them to the other phone - like cloning the old one. i've done this with K750, but it was about two years ago and with some tools, not compatible with K800. I remember seeing a backup option in XS++ - will it work that way? Will everything be fine if i backup all the firmware from the old phone and transfer it to the new one?

try this method: backup files from K800 internal file system. if you manage to do it, you can upload that backup to your new(used ) k800.

If you want to backup the main as well, follow these steps...

If you have the quick access patch you can backup your main with JDFlasher or SETool2lite.

In SeTool2Lite just use K800 as model, tick Use "quick access patch" then enter the start address 44140000 in the Read Setup at the bottom of SEtool2lite and a length of 02000000 (which is the same as 32MB, the size of the Main) (Note: the default value (00020000) has also a 2 at the beginning but only 4 zeros, they have to be 6 zeros), then tick "Read SSW" because SEtool can only Flash SSW files back to the phone, otherwise it would create a raw/bin file which it couldn't flash. The last step: click "Read Flash."

If you want to flash your backup do the following:
Start Setool2lite.
Choose your phone Type: K800
Now there are two possibilities:

1. The main which is currently on the phone has the quick access patch installed. Then tick "use quick access patch"
2. The main which is currently on the phone doesn't have the quick access patch installed. Then tick "Bypass DB2020" security

In Files press Add and choose your SSW file which was created at the backup (44140000_02000000_yourIMEI.bin). The last step: click at "FLASH"
